What Powers This Heat?
Here’s the thing about these heaters: we built them to get hot, fast. The core is a 400V, 2500W halogen lamp. That power rating is what gives you that intense, concentrated heat in a small space. It warms up almost instantly. But that kind of punch means you need a solid electrical setup. Your wiring has to be ready to handle a steady 6.25A draw. And the 300mm tube? It focuses all that warmth into a tight spot. Perfect for heating a specific area without needing a giant, bulky unit.
Built to Last
We use a quartz envelope for the core. It’s tough—able to handle the shock of heating up and cooling down without cracking. Inside, there’s a special coating. It manages the UV light, so you don’t have to worry about your pets or nearby materials getting damaged. For the connection, we went with the R7s connector. It’s the standard for a reason. It gives you a secure, high-temp connection that won’t loosen up. No more worrying about flickering lights or burnouts from a bad contact.
How It Works in Your Space
These heaters are all about creating a safe, cozy zone for your pets. You get that consistent, radiant warmth right where you need it. But there’s a trade-off for all that power. The lamp itself runs very hot. That means the housing and mounting hardware need room to breathe. When you’re installing it, just keep an eye on the heat. Make sure you give it enough space so it doesn’t overheat. That’s the secret to getting years of reliable service out of it.
