By putting a gold coating on the inner tube, we basically create a thermal mirror.&#xA;Instead of heat leaking back into the housing, it gets pushed forward in a concentrated beam. You get way more energy hitting your target, and the back end of the lamp stays cool. This is huge because it stops the housing from warping or releasing those nasty gases when things get hot.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
