What Makes It Tick
The 400V input and 2500W output were chosen for a reason: to give you maximum power without over-stressing the control circuitry. The 300mm length is intentional, too. It keeps the footprint small, so it slips right into tight spots like crowded heating blocks and manifolds. It heats up fast. But that kind of power also creates a lot of waste heat. So the overheat protection isn’t just a nice-to-have—it’s a hard-and-fast safety limit built right into the design. It’s there to keep the element from burning out, whether airflow gets blocked or the load suddenly changes.
The Design, Up Close
The halogen element is housed in a quartz envelope. That’s what gives it the guts to handle extreme temperatures and sudden thermal shocks without cracking. Inside, the halogen cycle keeps the filament stable. That means less blackening over time and consistent output, day after day. Then there’s the R7s connector. It’s a simple bi-pin setup that locks the tube in place and handles the full current without loosening, even under constant vibration. It’s straightforward and serviceable. If you ever need to swap one out, you can do it right on the shop floor in minutes.
Where It Shines
This heater is built for the tough stuff—plastic processing, extrusion, packaging equipment. It delivers rapid, focused heat exactly where you need it, and the overheat protection keeps catastrophic failures at bay. Now, it does ask for something in return. You have to pair it with proper cooling and give it the right mounting clearances. But when you get that right, it becomes the reliable workhorse you can count on to keep the line moving.
